Investing in employee language skills pays off

In our previous blog, we discussed the many benefits for employers who invest in language training for their employees. Especially if they also take advantage of one of the many subsidy schemes offered by the various industry associations and the central government. You may be able to take advantage of one. Lexicon lists some of them for you.

Subsidy for Dutch language training in the cleaning industry

Is your company active in the cleaning and window cleaning industry and do you pay a RAS premium? Then you can receive a contribution (€ 3.500,- per participant per course) in the training costs for employees who want to follow a language or writing course (for direct managers) in Dutch, such as:

Dutch in the workplace
Dutch for expats

Do multiple employees qualify? Then possibly even the total training costs will be reimbursed. Very interesting for employers....

Subsidy for Dutch language training for transport & logistics

For employees in this industry, there is a personal training budget available from the Transport and Logistics Sector Institute of up to €3,000 per person. With this they can, among other things, follow a language course in Dutch, English or German. Take advantage of this as an employer.

Subsidy for Dutch language training on the work and production floor

Invest smartly in increasing the Dutch language skills of your employees by making use of the subsidy scheme 'Count with Language'. This subsidy runs from January 1, 2023 to February 28, 2023. Be on time.

Think of training as:

Dutch in the workplace
Dutch for expats

The maximum subsidy is €125,000 per application and there is a co-payment. 'Tel mee met Taal' reimburses 67% of the activities. The maximum amount per course participant for employees is € 1,500.
